Latest Updated 10/07/2024: The Education Department has sought a list of teachers with B.Ed qualification from class one to five, who have been appointed in the sixth phase or thereafter. Regarding this, the department has issued a letter to all the district education officers. Also, a format has been issued, in which complete details of the teachers have been sought.

The department has said in a letter to the districts that a suit has been filed in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Patna High Court on December 6, 2023, so that relief can be provided to the teachers conditionally appointed in the sixth phase. It is known that the Patna High Court, in its decision on December 6, 2023, based on the Supreme Court's judgment, had declared the qualification of B.Ed in class one to five as ineligible. The court had said that the qualification of a teacher in class one to five is D.El.Ed. The department has also sought information from the districts as to how many teachers have done a six-month bridge course within two years of appointment.
