Latest Updated 15/07/2024: The National Examination Agency (NTA) has decided to conduct a re-examination for over 1,000 CUET-UG candidates on 19 July.

The NTA had released the provisional answer key of Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG 2024 on 7 July & announced that it would held a re-examination for CUET-UG applicants between 15 & 19 July if any of the complaints raised by students about the conduct of the exam are found to be true. The agency on Sunday released a notification for the re-examination schedule but remained silent on the declaration of the result, which has already been delayed by over two weeks and the final answer key is yet to be notified.

The delay in the CUET-UG result comes at a time when the controversy over alleged irregularities in competitive exams, including NEET and NET, continues. According to NTA sources, distribution of question papers in a language other than the one opted by the candidates is one of the reasons for the re-examination and around 1,000 candidates are spread across six states.
Some of the complaints include loss of time due to distribution of wrong question papers, a source said.
Of the 1,000 CUET-UG candidates for whom the NTA is conducting the re-examination, a total of 250 are from Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh, which is also under the scanner for alleged leak of NEET UG question paper.
According to the official notification issued on Sunday, the complaints received from the candidates till 30 June 2024, as well as those sent online between 7-9 July (before 0500 pm) in connection with the CUET (UG) 2024 exam have been reviewed.
Originally, the results of the undergraduate entrance exams were scheduled to be released on June 30, but the NTA delayed the results as it grappled with allegations of paper leaks in NEET-UG, UGC-NET, and CSIR-UGC-NET.
