Latest Updated 19/07/2024: Patna High Court has ordered the release of supplementary result of the first phase of teacher recruitment examination conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Justice Nani Tagia asked the education department to release the supplementary result soon. The court had reserved the decision after completing the hearing, which was announced on Thursday.

Supplementary result was released in the first phase of teacher recruitment examination. A total of 2773 candidates had passed in it. However, the total vacancies were 4797. Even after the supplementary result, 2024 vacancies remained. But, BPSC said that the remaining seats would be filled through the second phase of teacher recruitment process. Petitions were filed in the High Court against this decision of the commission.
The court has ordered the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Secretary and Director of Secondary Education to identify the vacancies arising due to non-appointment of recommended candidates sent by BPSC.
The High Court has asked the BPSC to release the supplementary result of teachers for classes one to five as per advertisement number 26/2023 (TRE-1) after receiving information from the department. The High Court gave this order after hearing the petition filed by 101 candidates including Dhirendra Kumar.
