Latest Updated 28/06/2024: The second round of seat allocation for 59 thousand 917 seats in 121 institutes including IIT, NIT was released on Thursday evening. Students can report an online till 5 pm on 1 July.

If any deficiency is found in the uploaded certificate, they will have to respond to the query received by 5 pm on 3 July, otherwise their seat will be cancelled. Along with this, the date for starting classes in IIT has also been released.

Reason for leaving the seat has to be given:


Withdrawal option is available for those students who want to leave the seat from JoSAA counseling after the second round of seat allocation. Students can leave their seat and go out of counseling by filling the required information. For this, they will have to tell JoSAA the reason for leaving the seat. These reasons include which college and which branch the student was expecting to get, whether he/she has got admission in any other college (except IIT, NIT) in 2024 and whether the student is willing to appear in JEE Main again in 2025. Students can withdraw from their allotted seat till the 4th round. Their fees will be refunded.
