328 CHOs of Bihar will be trained from 2 July latest news update 2024
Latest Updated 29/06/2024: 328 CHOs (Community Health Officers) of the state will be given training on mental health. An agreement has been signed between the State Health Committee and NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences) for the training.

Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the Health Department is working towards ensuring better physical health as well as mental health in the state. NIMHANS will train 328 CHOs on various dimensions of mental health online. This training will be held from 2 July to 19 July. Various dimensions related to mental health have been included in the training. It will be trained on serious points like depression, suicide, serious mental disorders, substance abuse disorders and disaster management. This training will be organized in three districts.
Which includes Rohtas, Samastipur and Purnia. The training of one batch will be completed in two sessions every week and a total of 6 sessions. This will make it easier for the CHOs appointed at the Health and Wellness Center to identify patients facing mental depression and stress at the community level.
