It is known that Bihar Sports Scholarship Scheme-2024 was approved by the state cabinet in March itself. Under this scheme, scholarships up to a maximum of 20 lakhs annually are to be given to the players. The purpose of this scheme is that the youth of the state should perform better in various sports. Win medals in national and international level competitions. For this, he should get high level training and have all other facilities. The talent of any talented player should not be suppressed due to lack of money. Under the scholarship scheme, players have been divided into three different groups to provide financial assistance.
Under this, one group is of athletes in the age group of 12 to 18 years. It includes those who won medals in individual and team sports in the competition organized by the School Games Federation of India. In this, Rs 3 lakh will be given to every player annually. In the second, financial assistance will be given to players aged 12 to 24 years. It includes those athletes who have participated in international level competitions or have won medals in sports organized by All India University or National Associations. Players of this category will get scholarship up to Rs 5 lakh.

The third group includes assistance to those who qualify for the Olympic level. Players aged 20 years and above have been included in this. These players will be given financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh annually. In this, assistance will be given only to those players who have won medals in senior national competitions. Those who have participated in senior international competitions. This will also include the facility of training abroad.
