13 accused have been arrested so far

According to EOU sources, in the police investigation so far, the solver gang had found roll codes of 13 candidates. Four of them were arrested by the police at the same time. For information about the remaining nine candidates, the EOU had written a letter to the exam conducting agency NTA (National Testing Council). EOU DIG Manavjit Singh Dhillon said that NTA had sent the admit cards of the candidates sought in its reply. Through this, the EOU got information about the mobile numbers and addresses of the candidates. The candidates have been called for questioning by sending notices to this address.

The candidates and their parents will be questioned about their association with the solver gang. It will also be asked whether these nine candidates were also made to memorize the question paper by the solver gang before the exam or not? It is known that NEET was organized on 5 May across the country including Bihar. When the matter of memorizing the question paper before the exam came to light, an FIR was registered in Shastri Nagar police station.

So far, the police have arrested 13 accused in the paper leak case. Four of these accused are candidates and the rest are their parents and members of the solver gang. The EOU has also done necessary interrogation by taking them on remand.
