3630 posts of nyaya mitra court secretary to be filled in two months in bihar latest news update 2024
In 8056 Gram Kachheri across the state, only 5826 posts of Nyaya Mitra are working
Latest Updated 15/06/2024: To keep the Gram Kachhari running smoothly in the Panchayati Raj system, the vacant posts of Kachhari Secretary and Nyaya Mitras will be filled. In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary of Panchayati Raj Department Mihir Kumar Singh has instructed all District Magistrates, District Panchayat Raj officials.
Out of 8056 Gram Kachharis in the state, only 5826 posts are occupied by Nyaya Mitras. 2230 posts are vacant. While 6656 posts of Kachhari Secretary are filled and 1400 posts are vacant. Both the vacant posts have been asked to be filled within two months. The letter of the department states that one Nyaya Mitras is to be employed on contract basis for each Gram Kachhari. In the Panchayats which have been included in the municipal area, the post of Nyaya Mitras will be abolished. But Nyaya Mitras are to be reinstated in the remaining Gram Panchayats.

Since, the efficiency of the respective Gram Kachharis is being adversely affected due to the vacancies of the posts of Gram Kachhari Nyaya Mitras. Therefore, in such panchayats, employment will be done within 60 days by doing roster clearance in the light of Bihar Gram Kachhari Nyaya Mitra Niyamawali 2007. Roster clearance will be done through the District Magistrate. It will be the responsibility of the District Panchayati Raj Officer to run a campaign and ensure employment by the planning committee of the concerned Gram Kachhari. The department has asked to take action considering this letter necessary. Gram Kachhari Secretary and Nyaya Mitra are reinstated on contract. Secretary gets six thousand and Nyaya Mitra gets 7000 monthly honorarium.
