Latest Updated 15/06/2024: Advertisement for appointment of primary teachers will be published on 20th June. Applications can be received from 22nd June to 27th July. Scrutiny of received applications will be done from 23rd July to 31st July. Counseling will be held on 1st August and final selection list will be published on 7th August. School Education and Literacy Department Primary Education has released the schedule for teacher recruitment.
Director of Primary Education Shashi Prakash Singh has said in the order issued that as per the order of the High Court, selection will be done by counseling on the posts left vacant after the appointment of assistant teachers under the final counseling till 3rd June 2019 on the basis of Jharkhand Primary Teacher Appointment Rules 2012 (as amended).

He said that in the advertisement published for appointment to vacant posts, it is necessary to clearly mention the minimum marks obtained category wise/ language wise (Para and Non-Para) on the basis of counseling earlier. Under no circumstances, a candidate with less marks than the said marks should be selected.
According to the discussion of the preliminary report in the district, there may be vacancies of 57 posts in Para category and 68 in non-Para for classes one to five in Dhanbad, 3 posts in Para category and 1 in non-Para in Science for classes six to eight, 4 posts in Para and 3 in non-Para in Arts and 6 posts in Para and 6 posts in non-Para in Language. However, the vacancies released by the department are awaited. The number of vacancies will be revealed in the advertisement released on 20th. On the other hand, a team of BEEO, BRP and others has been formed for the entry of applications received at the District Education Superintendent's office, Dhanbad. Sources say that the vacant posts are being counted.
