Latest Updated 19/06/2024: Under the National Health Mission, 13,267 posts including AYUSH doctors will be appointed in the hospitals of the state. Health Minister Mangal Pandey directed to fill the vacancies in the hospitals under the National Health Mission in mission mode by October. Instructed to set up blood bank and blood separation units in government hospitals.

On Tuesday, the Health Minister reviewed the progress of programs and schemes under the National Health Mission with departmental officials. The Health Minister said that in view of the government's priority to provide better and qualitative health and specialized medical services, most of the posts should be filled by October. The State Health Committee officials were instructed to make appointments on the remaining posts by December 2024. The minister asked to set up Thalassemia Day Care Center in AIIMS and GMC Purnia, and to allocate funds from the Chief Minister's Medical Relief Fund for bone marrow transplantation. Under the Bal Hriday Yojana, 360 children suffering from holes in the heart were operated.

The Health Minister will send 21 children by air flight for operation
Director General Dr. Sunil Jha was instructed to approve the grant amount to the victim soon under the Chief Minister's Medical Grant. Executive Director of State Health Committee Suharsh Bhagat, Chief Executive Officer of Bihar Health Security Committee Shashank Shekhar Sinha, Private Secretary to Health Minister Amitabh Singh, Deputy Secretary Pramod Kumar Ram, Administrative Officer Rajesh Kumar, Special Officer Priya Ranjan Raju etc. were present in the meeting.
