Latest Updated 29/06/2024: 510 regional health workers will be appointed in the health department of Jharkhand. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission on Friday released the advertisement for Jharkhand Regional Worker Appointment Competitive Examination 2024.

Candidates will be able to apply online from 1 August to 31 August. The examination fee will be deposited by 2 September. At the same time, photos and signatures will be uploaded till 4 September and the link to download the print out of the application form will be open. From 6 to 8 September, a link will be given for amendment in the online application.

It is mandatory to have passed matriculation by the last date of application for appointment to the posts of health worker. The minimum age limit for appointment is 18 years and the maximum age limit has been fixed by the Personnel Department. The age limit will be calculated from 1 August 2024. Appointments will be made to 230 posts of unreserved, 133 of Scheduled Tribes, 44 of Scheduled Castes, 45 of Extremely Backward, 07 of Backward and 51 posts of Economically Weaker Section.


Exam will be taken in one phase

  • Exam will be conducted on OMR sheet or computer
  • Three marks will be given for correct answer, one mark will be deducted for wrong answer

The competitive examination will be based on computer or OMR. The exam will be conducted in one stage (main exam). All the questions in it will be objective and multiple choice type. One question will be of three marks. Three marks will be given for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The main exam will have three papers. The first paper will be on language knowledge, the second paper will be on tribal and regional language and the third paper will be on general studies. It will be mandatory to score 30-30 percent marks in all three papers. The first paper will be only for qualifying and its marks will not be added to the merit list.
