Latest Updated 30/06/2024: 40 coal officers of E7 grade of excavation cadre of Coal India and various subsidiary companies will become GM (E8). BCCL also has four officers. The recommendation related to this has been made after the interview.

The names of the four BCCL officers who have been recommended include Naval Kishore Thakur, Gyaneshwar Kumar, Arun Kumar Singh and Bichitrananda Behera. The interview for promotion was held in the month of June itself.
