200 mbbs seats will increase in the government medical colleges of bihar latest news update 2024
Admission will be done in Samastipur and Chhapra Medical College from session 2024-25
Latest Updated 14/06/2024: From this session, admission will be done on the increased seats in Bihar's medical colleges. For the first time, admission will be done on 100 seats each in Samastipur and Chhapra Medical College. With the increase of 200 MBBS seats, the total number of seats in the state's government medical colleges will be 1690.
- 2 thousand 500 seats will be added after adding seats of private colleges
- 15 percent seats are filled under All India Quota
Earlier, there were 1490 seats in MBBS course in the state's medical colleges. This will increase to 1690. However, there is no increase in BDS seats. Admission will be done on 100 seats only in Patna Dental College and Rahui Dental College, Nalanda. If MBBS course of private medical colleges is included, then the number will cross 2500.
- There are 1 thousand 490 MBBS and 140 BDS seats at present
- Now there will be 1 thousand 690 total seats in the state medical colleges
At present, there are 200 seats in PMC Patna, 120 in DMC Laheriyasarai, 120 in Bhagalpur, 150 in NMC Patna, 120 in Muzaffarpur, 120 in Gaya, 120 in IGIMS Patna, 120 in GMC Bettiah, 120 in VIMS Pawapuri, 100 in Madhepura, 100 in ESIC Medical College Bihta, 100 in GMC Purnia, 40 in Patna Dental College and 100 in Rahui Dental College Nalanda. In the medical colleges of Bihar, admission is done on 15 seats under All India Quota. Whereas, admissions are done on the remaining 85 percent seats under State Quota. The process of admission from State Quota will be done through BCECE only after the admission of Central Quota.
