Latest Updated 08/05/2024: Patna Police has constituted SIT in the NEET UG exam rigging case. The SIT formed under the leadership of City SP Central includes two DSP rank officers, six inspectors and policemen from the technical cell. Inspector TN Singh has been made IO of the case registered in Shastratti Nagar police station.
According to DIG cum SSP Rajiv Mishra, the police will take the arrested accused one by one on remand and interrogate them. Police will also interrogate student Ayush Raj, who claimed to have received the question paper the night before.
Search for Sanjeev and others: Police is busy searching for mastermind Sanjeev Singh, his henchman Rocky and others. If Sanjeev is caught, many secrets will be exposed. Sanjeev has been accused of rigging in examinations in the past also. According to sources, raids were conducted in Patna and adjoining districts in search of Sanjeev. There is also an eye on Sanjeev's son, who has gone to jail due to irregularities in the examination held in another state.
The police have taken this matter very seriously. Action will be taken based on the facts that emerge after detailed investigation. SIT will arrest all the members of the gang.
