Latest Updated 8/05/2024: Salaries of 504 officials of the state have been stopped for not giving information about mid-day meal. This includes 328 headmasters, 146 block resource workers and 30 district program managers. All these officials have not reported for mid-day meal.
These things came to light in the review of the Mid Day Meal Scheme Directorate. After this, on Tuesday, Deputy Director in-charge of the Directorate, Baleshwar Prasad Yadav, ordered to stop their salaries. The salary of the headmaster has been withheld for seven days, the salary of the block resource worker for five days and the salary of the district program manager for three days. This negligence was detected in the monitoring conducted between 1 and 30 April. Earlier clarification was sought from these officials.
