Latest Updated 25/05/2024: Students of Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) demonstrated in front of the university gate on Friday over low marks in the examination. The students met the university officials and demanded improvement in the results.


When the students were not allowed to enter the campus by closing the gate, the medical students blocked the main road. Due to this, traffic on the main road leading to Mithapur bus stand came to a standstill for half an hour to 45 minutes. There was a dispute between students and drivers regarding this. As soon as the information about the road jam was received, the police of Jakkanpur police station reached there and explained to the students and removed them. Actually, medical students were angry for the last several days about getting low marks in the examination. Students allege that their copies were not evaluated properly. The students were demanding the university administration to retake the exam or recheck the copy. Here, the university administration has put forward its stand on discrimination in the evaluation of students and has said that many students studying medicine have failed in the annual and supplementary examinations. The evaluation has been fair, yet students feel that there is something wrong, then they should apply for scrutiny. If any error is found then the Scrutiny Committee takes a decision in this regard. The university administration has clarified that no FIR has been lodged against the medical students. The medical students have not caused any damage to government property. AKU will work in the interest of students as per the decision of the administration committee.

Registrar of Bihar Health Sciences University, Vimlesh Kumar Jha said that the MBBS examination of the year 2022 batch has no connection with Bihar Health Sciences University. Before the 2023 batch, the examination of students of all batches is being conducted by Aryabhatta Knowledge University.
