BBMKU got less applications than seats in 27 out of 29 subjects
Latest Updated 25/05/2024: Saturday is the last day for online application for enrollment in four-year undergraduate course in 35 degree colleges of Dhanbad-Bokaro under BBMKU. Till now the number of applications has crossed 28 thousand. Out of 42,264 seats earmarked for 29 subjects, 24,971 applications have been received.
This is 59.1 percent of the total seats, that is, more than 40 percent seats are likely to remain vacant in the first round. Let us tell you that the first selection list will be released by BBMKU on 29th May. From May 30 to June 7, the selected students will enroll in the respective colleges. If we look at the released statistics, the favorite subjects of the students are zoology and mathematics. More applications have been received than seats in both the subjects. 680 applications have been received for 640 seats in Zoology and 728 applications have been received for 640 seats in Mathematics.

Less applications have been received than seats for all other subjects. The portal has received 8176 applications for 8444 seats in History, 3191 applications for 4384 seats in Hindi. Talking about the least number of applications, less than one percent for Bengali subject, 0.9 percent i.e. three students have expressed their desire to enroll for 352 seats. Out of 29 subjects, the university received less applications than seats in 27 subjects.
