Latest Updated 18/05/2024: Jharkhand High Court has given instructions to give seventh pay scale to teachers and employees of minority colleges of the state. Justice Anubha Rawat Chaudhary's court gave this direction while hearing a petition on Friday. The court has asked everyone to give the pay scale with effect from April 1, 2021.

Applicant Chandrashekhar Prasad had filed a petition in this regard. In the petition, the court was requested to give the benefit of seventh pay scale to the teachers and employees of minority colleges. On behalf of the applicant, the court was told that the Central Government had released a order to give the benefit of 7th pay scale to everyone. The state government has also issued an order in March. In which it has been said that except the minority college teachers and employees, everyone else will get the benefit of the pay scale. This order of the state government is completely wrong. Teachers and employees of minority colleges should also be given the benefit of 7th pay scale.
