Latest Updated 28/05/2024: BN College student Harsh Raj (22) was beaten to death by miscreants on Monday afternoon in the Patna Law College campus. At the time of the incident, Harsh, a final year BA student, had come out after giving the examination.
The masked miscreants, who were already in ambush, attacked the student with sticks and bricks. Due to this the student suffered serious head injuries. The accused absconded after committing the crime. There was chaos in the college campus due to the broad daylight attack on a student resident of Lalganj, Vaishali. Later, with the help of students, he was taken to PMCH, where doctors declared him dead. Harsh Raj was the only son and was very active in student politics. According to City SP East Bharat Soni, there is a suspicion of murder due to political reasons or some previous dispute. Police have registered a case of murder and are searching for the attackers with the help of CCTV footage and videos made by students.
DIG cum SSP Rajiv Mishra said that SIT has been formed to arrest the attackers. This includes ASP Patna City, Sultanganj SHO Ajay Kumar and members of the technical team. SIT is investigating different aspects.

Police have registered a case against a dozen unknown assailants in the case of thrashing a student to death in a law college. Sultanganj police station incharge Ajay Kumar said that an FIR has been registered on the statement of the student's father Ajit Kumar. Police are trying to identify the attackers & arrest them.
