Latest Updated 08/05/2024: Consortium of National Law Universities has released the date of Combined Law Admission Entrance Test (CLAT) 2025. CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on 1 December. In NLU, admission will be taken on 3241 seats in BA LLB and 1248 seats in LLM.


Moreover, admission into more than 60 private and government law schools is done through CLAT score. The registration process for CLAT 2025 will be started by NLUS in mid-July. General, OBC, PWD, NRI, OCI category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 4000. Whereas SC, ST and BPL category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 3,500.

The exam will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. At the same time, the registration process to participate in this examination will start in mid-July.

The consortium has also issued an official notification in this regard. It was said in the notification that information about syllabus, application and counseling process will be given soon. CLAT expert and co-founder of Law Prep Tutorial, Abhishek Gunjan said that through CLAT, enrollment is available in various UG and PG courses of law including LLB, LLM. Students who have completed 12th with at least 45 percent marks from a recognized board can participate in the CLAT UG exam. For SC, ST category applicants it is 40%.


Whereas for CLAT PG 2024 exam, students must have LLB degree with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent in case of SC/ST candidates) from an institute recognized by the Bar Council of India. Final year LLB students can also apply for CLAT 2025.


Questions will be in five sections


CLAT will be of two hours. Its question paper is divided into five parts. This includes Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, English Language, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Quantitative Techniques. Negative marking is also applicable. 0.25 (1/4) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. However 2025 CLAT exam pattern details will be released with notification.
