80 marks on degree and research for principal recruitment in the constituent colleges of bihar by Raj Bhavan latest news update 2024
Latest Updated 05/05/2024: Raj Bhavan has released the notification regarding the rules for the recruitment of principals in the constituent colleges of the state. Professors or Associate Professors who have minimum 15 years of teaching experience in universities, colleges or higher educational institutions will be able to apply for the appointment of Principal.

PhD must have minimum 10 research publications in peer reviewed or UGC listed journals. There should also be a minimum score of 110 for writing a book, research project, patent and innovation etc. There will be a total of 80 marks for Academics and Research and 20 marks for Interview. The maximum age for the application is 60 years. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of reservation roster. Presently the posts of Principal are vacant in about 200 affiliated colleges. The appointment of college principal will be for 5 years. On the basis of better performance, another tenure extension of 5 years can be given. Academic Advisor of State Higher Education Council, Prof. NK Singh said that there will be transparency in the appointment of principal on the basis of the new rules.
