Latest Updated 28/04/2024: There was an uproar on Saturday in the examination conducted by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission for the post of Group C Higher Education Lab Assistant. Due to less number of papers arriving at the examination center in Agastyamuni College, they could not be distributed to all the candidates. The candidates created a ruckus on this. The Sector Magistrate and the Commission in-charge made arrangements by asking for papers from other examination centres. The paper started in this center with a delay of about 50 minutes.

On receiving information about delay in the examination, Nodal Officer ADM Shyam Singh Rana also reached the spot. College Principal Dr. Dalip Singh said that a list of 329 candidates was received for the examination. When the seal of the papers was opened at nine in the morning, 90 less papers of one series were found in the envelope. Due to this, question papers could not be made available in the examination halls on time. Commission representative Vijaypal Singh Kandari said that the remaining question papers were collected from Agastyamuni Government Girls Inter College and Government Inter College Agastyamuni along with Sector Magistrate (EE PMGSY) Om Gupta. Due to low attendance at both the centres, 143 question papers were left. The commission representative said that the examination started late, but the candidates were given full time. The candidates expressed anger over the Commission's lapse.
