Latest Updated 02/03/2024: Patna High Court has ordered the reinstatement of 10 thousand 709 ANMs on the basis of marks. On Friday, a bench of Justice Mohit Kumar Shah quashed the Bihar Technical Service Commission's notice dated September 19, 2023.

The court said that the reinstatement of ANM will be under Rule 7 of Bihar Women Health Worker (ANM) Cadre Rules 2018. Earlier, in the light of the order of the High Court, the state government had issued advertisement 07/2022. The selection process started on the basis of ANM Rules 2018. Meanwhile, the government amended the rules and issued a notice of reinstatement on the basis of written examination.
