Latest Updated 08/03/2024: Jharkhand Eligibility Test will be conducted in May-June. Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.
JPSC Secretary said that the information to apply for this will soon be given on the website of the Commission. Jharkhand Eligibility Test will be conducted for the appointment of assistant professors of various subjects in the universities and colleges of Jharkhand and candidature for enrollment in PhD.

Let us tell you that Jharkhand Eligibility Test will be conducted after 16 years. Earlier it was organized in 2007-08. The state government has framed new rules for this. Jharkhand eligibility test will be computer based. Objective questions will be asked in this. This examination will be in two papers. The first paper will be related to Teaching, Research Attitude and Reasoning Ability. Whereas, the examination of the second paper will be of the related subject. A total of hundred questions of two marks each will be asked. The examination of both the papers will be conducted consecutively. Three hours time has been fixed for the examination. There will be no negative marking in it.

To appear in this examination, it will be mandatory to pass post graduation with minimum 55 percent marks in the relevant subject. This examination will be conducted in total 43 subjects. OBC, SC, ST and disabled candidates will be given five percent relaxation in this. Five percent relaxation will also be given to PhD passed candidates who have completed post graduation till September 19, 1991. No maximum age limit has been prescribed for appearing in this examination.
