Latest Updated 28/03/2024: National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed the exam date of JEE Main April session. Initially it was scheduled to take place from April 4 to 15. It has been changed to April 4 to 9. Its notification was released on Thursday. 12 lakh students will appear in the second phase examination. This includes 50 thousand students from Bihar.


Admit cards will be released 3 days before the examination. On 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 April the examination for BE-B.Tech will be held in two shifts each day. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm.

The examination for BE-B.Tech will be held in 10 shifts in a total of five days. Whereas on 12 April, the examination for B.Arch will be held in a morning shift. The result can be released by 20th April. Now the exam cities have also been released along with the exam dates. A large number of students in the examination cities have been allotted choice filled options in the order of their first, second and third preference. Students will have to go with their original ID proof and photograph attached in the application. They have to carry it along with the admit card to the examination centre.


All candidates (male or female) appearing for JEE Main will have to wear light colored clothes without heavy pockets on the day of examination. There is a complete ban on hats, shawls, scarves, jewelery and metal items. Candidates should not wear any kind of jewelery including chains or rings, along with this they will have to wear thin soled shoes or simple flip-flops, sandals. Goggles, wrist watches and clothes with big buttons are also banned in the examination hall.

No change in date of advance from Los elections


There will be no impact of Lok Sabha elections on the exam date of JEE Advanced. Zonal Head of ALLEN Patna, Dr. Vipin Yogi said that information has been issued from IIT Madras in this regard that JEE Advanced exam will be held on May 26 only. No changes will be made in this due to Lok Sabha elections.
