Latest Updated 13/03/2024: Basic-junior teachers who have reached grade pay of Rs 5400 can get the benefit of gazetted officer status and relaxation in ACR standards. DG-Education Banshidhar Tiwari gave this assurance in a meeting organized with the Provincial Ad-hoc Committee of the Primary Teachers Association on Tuesday on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami. He said that all the genuine issues of primary teachers will be sent for consideration of the government. Appropriate action will also be taken on the demand of giving a chance for transfer to the home district once during the entire service period.


In the meeting held at the Directorate General of Education on Tuesday afternoon, the members of the ad-hoc committee put forward the pending issues one by one. He demanded to complete the promotion process soon and approve the post of headmaster in every school. Also, there is a demand for 50 percent promotion quota for the post of Deputy Education Officer for the Principal of Junior High School, increase in the amount of PM Nutrition Scheme, facility of cadre change, inter-district mutual transfer and immediate action in the transfer cases for consideration of the Chief Secretary Committee. Kept. DG said that the government is serious about the problems of teachers. Efforts are on to resolve all the relevant issues as per the rules. The demands on which a decision has to be taken at the government level will be sent to the government with recommendations.
