Latest Updated 15/03/2024: Teachers announced an all-out fight against direct recruitment on the vacant posts of Principal. The Government Teachers Association warned that if the recruitment process was not cancelled, teachers would start a boycott movement. It will start with the process of evaluation of board examinations. On Thursday, State President of Government Teachers Association Ram Singh Chauhan and State General Secretary Ramesh Painuli gave notice to the Director of Secondary Education.


Public Service Commission has issued a notification for direct recruitment for 692 vacant posts of Principal in Government Inter Colleges. Only departmental teachers are eligible for this. The process of submitting online applications for this started from Thursday. Teachers are opposing recruitment considering the post of Principal as a promotion post. Especially the teachers of LT cadre are unhappy with the standards of this recruitment. He says that the standard of minimum service period for directly recruited lecturers and teachers who became lecturers after getting promotion from LT has been kept at 10 years of service. LT cadre teachers become lecturers after 15 to 20 years of service. Therefore, it is unfair to keep them also in the 10 year standard.

Marks will be deducted for wrong answer

Dehradun. Teachers of non-government schools of the state demanded to revise the standards of direct recruitment of principals of government inter colleges. He says that when teachers of government schools can participate in the recruitment of principals of non-government schools, then why the double standards? State President of Non-Government School Teachers Association, Swatantra Kumar Mishra and Patron Dr. Anil Sharma said that if the government does not take action on this issue, a petition will be filed in the High Court.
