2.25 lakh teachers applied for the competency test

Latest Updated 08/03/2024: 1205 employed teachers who had applied for the competency test being conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board have come under the scanner. The roll numbers of all these teachers in the teacher eligibility tests (TET) belong to more than 1 candidate. In such a situation, considering them to be under suspicion, the Education Department has decided to conduct physical verification of all. Physical verification will be complete by calling teachers in a phased manner in the command & control center set up in the department.


The above decision was taken during the meeting chaired by KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department. Bihar School Examination Committee has submitted the list of 1205 niyojit teachers to the department. All these roll numbers are of Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET, CTET & STET). In this sequence, physical verification of 1 and a half dozen teachers was complete in the department on Thursday. Maximum 79 teachers out of 1205 are from the Nawada district. At the same time, Kaimur & Shivhar districts have the least number of teachers, five each.

Two lakh 21 thousand 255 applied to appear in Sakshamta Pariksha. It is known that a competency test is being organized to give the status of govt employee to the employed teachers. Its 1st phase is currently going on. Teachers will be provide a total of five chances to pass the examination. Of these, three online & two written examinations will be taken.


Sakshamta Pariksha Result will be declared on 23rd March

The result of the competency test will be published on 23 March. This decision was taken after discussions in the meeting of the Education Department & Bihar School Examination Committee. According to the instructions issued by the Education Department, the answer key will be made available to SCERT by the examination agency till 10 March. It will be uploaded on the website to receive objections on the answer key on 12 March. Objections will be received from teacher candidates till 14 March. The objections will be processed till 15 March. The result will be made available to the board by the examination agency on  20 March. The board will release the result on 23 March. Employed teacher applicants will have to pay 50 rupees per objection. After the release of the result, the thumb impressions of the successful applicants will be matched at the district level during counselling.
