Latest Updated 24/02/2024: There will be recruitment on 349 new posts in the district councils of the state. Panchayati Raj Department has created the new posts for the recruitment on 6 different posts including Assistant Engineer (AE), Junior Engineer (JE) & Lower Division Clerk (LDC).
The vacancy will soon be sent to BPSC, Technical Services and State Staff Selection Commission for reinstatement on these posts. There is to be regular reinstatement on all posts. Before this, 2554 vacancies which were no longer useful in the district councils were surrendered. In addition to the already approved vacancies, 349 posts at various levels of technical & non-technical categories in Zila Parishad offices have been approved by the govt.

In the review, the Panchayati Raj Department found that many such posts have already been approved in the Zilla Parishad, which are no longer useful. Additional posts are required in some categories. The no. of posts already created in Zila Parishad is 3267. Most of these posts have been created under the Health Department or Education Department or they are not required at all. 2554 such posts have been surrendered.
