Latest Updated 19/02/2024: Large-scale crackdown continued on Sunday, the second and last day of the written examination conducted by Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board for recruitment to 60244 posts of constable. On Sunday, 57 people were arrested for trying to crack the exam.
A total of 251 people have been arrested so far in the campaign launched by the district police and STF with the aim of conducting cheating-free examinations. These include examinees & solvers, members of the solver gang & the gang that leaked the paper. DGP Prashant Kumar has said that the examination was organized in a peaceful & clean environment on both days and in all 4 shifts at all 2385 centers in the state.

Senior officers of police & administration remained continuously touring in all the districts. Around 48 lakh candidates appeared in the examination on both the days. On Sunday, maximum of nine people were arrested from Shikohabad police station area of Firozabad district.
