Latest Updated 15/02/2024: The admission process in engineering colleges of Bihar will be based on JEE Main score. There will be admission for 13675 seats in 38 engineering colleges of the state.
The nomination process will take place between April and May. Information for this will soon be made available by BCECE.
There are 13675 seats in 38 engineering colleges
Last year, more than half the seats in engineering colleges of the state remained vacant. Which was later filled after taking the examination by BCECE. In the last session, 2810 seats were increased in 38 government engineering colleges in 2023-24. This time 360-360 seats were earmarked in all the engineering colleges. Only MIT Muzaffarpur has only five seats less. There are 355 seats here. In all the remaining 37 engineering colleges, admission is to be done for 360-360 seats. It is known that new branches were opened in many colleges this time, but the subjects most in demand were Computer Science and Computer Science related subjects. Even after this, some seats remain vacant in all the colleges related to the computer science. Now teachers have been recruited in engineering colleges of the state.
