Latest Updated 15/01/2024: The restoration of 3270 posts of AYUSH doctors has reached the final stage and is stuck again. The government has directed Bihar Technical Service Commission to postpone the recommendation of selected candidates.

The instructions have been given through a letter to Bihar Technical Service Commission on behalf of Alankrita Pandey, Joint Secretary of the Health Department. This matter was discussed in the joint meeting of Ayush Services Association of Bihar and Ayush Medical Services Association on Sunday. It was told that the government had issued recruitment notification for 3270 AYUSH doctors in 2020. After the disposal of various cases by the court, counseling took place at Gyan Bhawan in Patna in February 2022, but the restoration could not be completed even till January 2024. Asso. Officials of AYUSH said that as a result of the disposal of the case by the Supreme Court in 2023, there was a wave of happiness among all the AYUSH doctors. But due to the letter of the Joint Secretary of the Government, this restoration has again reached the status of 2020.

Because through this letter, the Technical Service Commission was ordered to immediately postpone the recommendation of the candidates selected through the said letter. Told that the reason given for this had already been rejected by the High Court. Nowhere in it has GMS been considered an equal or equivalent degree to BAMS. The AYUSH doctors requested the government to postpone their issued letter and publish the list of selected AYUSH doctors, otherwise the AYUSH doctors will be forced to protest.
