Latest Updated 11/01/2024: There will be an increase in the minimum honorarium for the manpower (technical workers) working through outsourcing in the power company. To increase the wages of the workers, the electricity company has formed a team of officials. If the rules of the electricity company are followed, then the workers can get up to 26 percent more honorarium than at present. This decision of the power company will benefit more than 12 thousand technical workers of the state.

Actually, the power company hires technical workers for a short period of time through an outsourcing agency. These are junior linemen, linemen, unskilled laborers, switch board operators. For this, an agency is fixed for each division. The minimum honorarium is increased twice a year by the Labor Resources Department. The same increase applies to these technical workers. The company formed a committee
On the demand of employee unions, the power company has formed a six-member committee. The letter has been issued by Sachindra Kumar, Under Secretary of Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited. According to this letter, the committee will consider increasing the honorarium of technical workers working through outsourcing agency in North and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited. In order to increase the amount, the committee will keep in mind the nature and importance of the work of technical workers as well as the dangerousness of their work. It will also consider bringing them under life insurance and increasing the monthly honorarium in addition to the minimum honorarium payable to all working manpower.
