Appointment letter will be given on 13th January
Latest Updated 05/01/2023: Teachers selected in the second phase and selected in the first phase supplementary result are to be given provisional appointment letters on January 13. More than 92 thousand 2772 teacher candidates who are successful in the second phase and first phase supplementary results will get provisional appointment letters on 13 January. After this, schools will be allotted to these teachers. School allocation will also be done through software. Meanwhile, the training work of these teachers has been started. After counselling, two weeks training is being given to the selected teachers.
In the 2nd phase of recruitment, 14 thousand 762 more applicants will get an opportunity to become teachers. The Education Department has sent a letter to Bihar Public Service Commission regarding the release of supplementary results for the second phase. It is expected that the commission will release the supplementary results soon. Commission Chairman Atul Prasad has also informed through tweet that supplementary results will be declared for the second phase.

According to the information received from the department, in the second phase, there are 14 thousand 762 candidates who have been successful in more than one level of teacher examination. But these teachers have appeared in the counseling at only one place. In such a situation, preparations are being made to declare supplementary results for so many posts. In this way, applicants of different categories who have been deprived of success by some marks, can get an opportunity to be successful in the supplementary result. It may be noted that the supplementary result was also released by the Commission in the 1st phase of recruitment. 2772 applicants were successful in the 1st phase supplementary result.
In the 2nd phase of recruitment, the Commission had conducted the examination for one lakh 22 thousand posts. Of these, more than 92 thousand candidates have been declared successful. Counseling of these applicants is going on in the districts from 26th December. Counseling of more than 70 thousand applicant has also been completed. Counseling of the successful applicants in the supplementary result will also be done on the same lines in the concerned district.
The examination was taken in the second phase for 01 lakh 22 thousand posts.
50263 vacant posts of first phase added in second phase
On 2 November 2023, CM Nitish Kumar had announced that the selection process of 1 lakh 20 thousand teachers will be completed in the second phase in the next two months. When the vacancies for the second phase were announced on November 4, it was around 70 thousand. In the first phase, out of 170461 teacher appointments, 50263 posts were left vacant. These posts were also added in the second phase of recruitment.
