Changes in Agniveer recruitment now typing test mandatory latest news update 2024
Latest Updated 06/01/2024: The Army Recruitment Board has made another major change regarding the reinstatement of Agniveer. Now typing test has been made mandatory for Agniveer Clerk and Storekeeper category candidates. The new rule will be applicable from Agniveer reinstatement session 2024-25.

The Army has issued a notification regarding this change. Also, a letter has been sent to all the Army Recruitment Boards of the country and instructions have been given to comply with the new rules from the next session. However, information about what will be the standard of typing will be given to the candidates after the notification of reinstatement is released. It is known that Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, East Champaran & West Champaran districts are included under the Muzaffarpur Army Recruitment Board located at Chakkar Maidan.

Confirming the change, an official of Bihar-Jharkhand Army Recruitment Board Directorate said that the new rule will be implemented from the restoration of Agniveer Clerk and Storekeeper category of 2024-25. The standard for the typing test is not yet fixed. There is discussion of fixing the typing speed at 35 and 30 words per minute for English and Hindi languages respectively. Its information will be given in the notification. The officer said that the Army Recruitment Board has to organize outreach programmes. Only 12th passed Agniveer is eligible for clerk and storekeeper
According to the Army Recruitment Board, only 12th pass youth are eligible for the post of Agniveer Clerk and Storekeeper. It is mandatory for the candidate to have passed 12th with 60 percent marks. Candidates from any stream like Science, Commerce and Arts are eligible for this. However, it is necessary to have more than 50 percent marks in all subjects with a minimum of 60 percent marks. English, Mathematics, Accounts and Book Keeping are mandatory for Clerk. It should have 50% or more marks. Also the age limit should be between 17 to 21 and a half years.
