Division will not be found in 10th-12th marksheet in the CBSE Board latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 02/12/2023: A senior official of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said on Friday that no division (category) or distinction (special ability) will be given in the class 10th and 12th board examinations.
- The board will not even give distinction to students this time.
- Total marks will also not be given in the result
CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said that no category, special ability or total marks will be given. If a candidate has appeared for more than five subjects, the admitting institution or employer may decide to consider the best five subjects for him/her.

The Board does not calculate, declare or inform marks percentage. If the marks percentage is necessary for higher education or employment then the calculation can be done by the employer.
