Investigation on investigation of Cooperative Bank recruitment scam in UK Uttarakhand latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 21/11/2023: Now there will be another new investigation into the Cooperative Bank recruitment scam. The file which had reached the government for action based on the report of the old inquiry committee, has been returned saying that the report of the old inquiry committee will be studied once again. For this, a new three-member inquiry committee has been formed. Which will study the old reports and tell whether dismissal notices should be sent to the recruited employees or not.
In the Cooperative Department, recruitment was done for Class IV posts in all the District Cooperative Banks in 2021. The recruitment was stopped after a controversy arose. Later, in the midst of the code of conduct for the 2022 assembly elections, Dehradun, USnagar and Pithoragarh banks completed the recruitment process and gave jobs to 223 people.
Following the file sent by Secretary Cooperative BVRC Purushottam, Registrar Alok Pandey has formed a new three-member inquiry committee to verify the authenticity of the earlier investigation. Additional Registrar Anand Shukla, Ira Upreti, Mangala Prasad Tripathi have been made members in this committee. The committee will study the old report and tell whether the investigation was correct or not.
The Cooperative Bank scam has been investigated several times so far. On the investigation report of the first joint registrar, the government took reports from Justice, Personnel and Finance. As of now only investigation is going on. Many people close to officers and leaders also got jobs in the recruitment conducted in banks.
Serious questions were raised in the investigation
Serious questions have been raised in the old committee report on the bank recruitment scam. Due to this report, questions were raised on the role of the boards and officers of banks. The role of officers associated with the bank as well as the cooperative was said to be suspicious. On the basis of this report, action against the bank management and officers was considered decided.
The government letter has been received. In pursuance of this letter, a three-member inquiry committee has been formed. Which will investigate the investigation report and give its report. Only after receiving this report will it be decided what to do next.
