Latest Updated 28/11/2023: If you do not apply online even after selection in the National Income-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSS) 2022, you will be deprived of the scholarship. Many school administrations have not given information to the students for online application. Due to this, about 40 percent of the students have not applied yet, whereas the last date is fixed as 30th November.
This time 4967 have been selected from Bihar. Only 2809 students have applied online for the scholarship. It is known that it is mandatory to apply online for scholarship. Students studying in class 8th in government schools get a chance to appear in this examination. Those who are selected are given an annual scholarship of Rs 12,000 from class 9th to 12th.
This time also Bihar's quota was not completed. According to SCERT, there is a different quota for this scholarship for every state. The quota for Bihar is 5433 students. But Bihar's quota has not been fulfilled for the last six years. According to SCERT, government school administrations do not take interest in it.
