Latest Updated 29/11/2023: The application process for admission in IITs and NITs of the country is going on. So far, around nine lakh students have applied for JEE Main January session. This includes more than 45 thousand students from Bihar. This time the number of examination centers in Bihar has been reduced to ten. This has been done from the point of view of transparency in the examination.

NTA has issued clear instructions this time that the applications of students who have applied more than once will be cancelled. Many students have not completed one application and have applied for another. The application of such students will be canceled. NTA will not accept more than one application.

The January session examination will be conducted from 24 January to 1 February. Strict instructions have been given regarding the examination. NTA said that even the slightest irregularity is reported at any examination centre, it will be blacklisted. Registration for the first phase of JEE Main is till Friday. JEE Main results will be declared on 12 February. Like last year, the exam will be organized in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu & Urdu.


JEE Main 2023 Paper One will have two sections


  • Part two will consist of aptitude test.
  • Part three will contain scheme-based objective type MCQs.


JEE Main 2023 Paper 1 will have two sections. Section A will have 20 (MCQs) for each subject. Whereas Section B will have 10 (numerical questions) for each subject, out of which 5 questions will have to be attempted. JEE Main Paper 2 will be divided into three parts. Part one will consist of 20 MCQs related to Mathematics and 10 numerical questions, out of which five have to be answered.
