Student Welfare Society Haldwani had filed a PIL in the matter. It was said that about three and a half thousand teachers in primary and secondary schools of the state have been appointed fraudulently on the basis of forged documents. When some of these teachers were investigated by SIT, the names of Khachedu Singh, Rishipal and Jaipal came to the fore. But with the connivance of departmental officers, he was given a clean chit and he is still working in the department. The organization has requested the SIT to investigate this matter.

The petition was heard by the division bench of Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rakesh Thapliyal on Thursday. During this, the division bench asked the state government that how many teachers' educational certificates have been examined so far? How many fake teachers have been suspended so far? In response to this, the government gave the above information. Earlier, the government had presented an affidavit in the court saying that the SIT investigation into the case is going on.
