Coal workers wait for Jabalpur High Court hearing for salary latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 06/10/2023: The petition filed by HMS regarding the National Coal Wage Settlement dispute was heard in Jabalpur High Court on Thursday but no relief was given. Now Coal India's appeal is to be heard in Jabalpur High Court on 9 October. According to inside information, now coal workers will have to wait till 9 October for their salaries.

On the hearing held on Thursday, HMS leader Nathulal Pandey said that the lawyers of the officers, while mentioning the date of hearing on 9 October on the appeal filed in the double bench of Coal India, said that the hearing should be held simultaneously. Therefore, now only nine cases will be heard together. Let us tell you that on the petition of the officials on the issue of violation of DPE guidelines, Jabalpur High Court has rejected the Coal Wage Agreement-11. Coal India has appealed against the said decision in the double bench. Therefore, until there is no relief from the court, there is doubt on salary payment. Here even on Thursday, Coal India has not given any instructions to its subsidiary companies regarding salary payment. Now it is expected that Coal India will take a decision on salary payment only after the hearing of nine. The matter is still completely in the court's court.
