Latest Updated 28/10/2023: Raj Bhavan appointed Prof. Binod Bihari Mahato from the post of Vice Chancellor of Koylanchal University (BBMKU). After relieving Shukdev Bhoi, on Friday evening, an order was issued to remove the university's finance advisor Sanjay Kumar Verma. Raj Bhavan's e-mail on Saturday evening, BBMKU in-charge Vice Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Poddar got it. Within an hour of receiving the order, BBMKU released a relieving letter and removed Finance Advisor Sanjay Kumar Verma from the post.
Sanjay Kumar Verma is accused of not giving any information to Raj Bhavan regarding financial irregularities in the university. He has also been in charge of Finance Advisor of Sido-Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka for some days.
Recently, Raj Bhavan had sought the opinion of Finance Advisor Sanjay Kumar Verma, former Registrar Dr. Sudhinata Sinha and former FO Dr. Munmun Sharan in the matter of purchasing furniture of the Senate Hall of the new administrative building of BBMKU. Sanjay had sent his reply to Raj Bhavan on Thursday itself. An order to remove him from the post was issued on Friday evening. There has been a stir in universities and colleges after Raj Bhavan's action.
Raj Bhavan has given the message by removing two senior officials within 15 days that no one will be spared in case of irregularities. There is discussion that two to three more officers may be punished. The finance section of the university is now completely vacant. The university is waiting for the next order from Raj Bhavan.
