Latest Updated 14/10/2023: Governor cum Chancellor of Jharkhand CP Radhakrishnan on Friday met the Vice Chancellor of Binod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal University, Dhanbad, Prof. Ordered to relieve Shukdev Bhoi from his post. After receiving the order Prof. Bhoi has resigned from the post of VC.

The Governor said that corruption at any level in any university of the state is not forgivable and strict action will be taken against those who do so. Let it be known that Prof. Many serious complaints against Sukhdev Bhoi were received by the Chancellor's Office, on which an investigation was ordered by Raj Bhavan. A team was formed by the Higher Education Department to investigate allegations. In the light of the Governor's instructions, the team conducted a thorough investigation and submitted a report, in which the complaints were confirmed.

After review, the conduct & actions of the VC were not found to be in the interest of the university. On this basis the Governor asked Prof. Ordered to relieve Sukhdev Bhoi from the post for acting against the dignity of the post of Vice Chancellor. Pro. After Bhoi's removal, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Pawan Kumar Poddar is expected to get the charge of VC.
