Latest Updated 29/10/2023: For the first time, doctors will be deployed in the medical colleges of the state through online counselling. This arrangement is being made for senior residents who get posted in medical colleges for two years after doing PG.
The Medical Education Department is preparing new software for this. The date of counseling will be announced as soon as the new software is tested. However, due to this process, there has been a slight delay in the deployment of doctors this time. Students doing PG from medical colleges of the state have to serve in the government sector for two years. For this a bond is filled. There is a provision to recover Rs 1 crore from those who do not follow the conditions of the bond. Actually, within three months of completion of PG, the concerned doctor has to be posted in the medical college as a senior resident. Till now this was done on manual basis according to merit. But now there are preparations to make the process more transparent.

1000 doctors will be available. Nearly 1000 doctors who have done PG from the medical colleges of the state will soon be posted in medical colleges through online counselling. For this, the merit will be considered the same as it was at the time of admission in PG. They have to fill online options as to where they want to be posted. According to merit, they will be allotted medical college online. To carry out this process, the department is preparing new software with the help of NIC.
