Latest Updated 26/10/2023: One lakh 20 thousand 336 teachers selected from Bihar Public Service Commission will be given provisional appointment letters on 2 November. Of these, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will hand over provisional appointment letters to 25 thousand teachers at Gandhi Maidan. The remaining teachers will be given appointment letters in their counseling district only.
Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, KK Pathak has issued guidelines to all DMs in this regard. Said that he should hand over appointment letters to the teachers of the district with his own hands. Request for distribution of appointment letter from the Divisional Commissioner at the Divisional Headquarters. The Chief Minister will reach Gandhi Maidan at 3 o'clock. 14 thousand candidates from other states selected
Out of total 1 lakh, 20 thousand 336 selected by Bihar Public Service Commission, about 14 thousand (about 12 percent) are from other states. All of them have been selected as primary teachers in the unreserved category. Most of them are from Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, candidates from states like Jharkhand, Haryana etc. have also been appointed. According to the information received from the Education Department, to become a teacher from class 9th to 12th, it was necessary to pass STET (Secondary-Higher Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test), which is conducted only in Bihar. For this reason, teachers from other states have not been selected in classes 9th to 12th. A total of 72 thousand have been selected as primary teachers, out of which 14 thousand are from other states. It is known that in the unreserved category, candidates from outside the state were also given the freedom to apply for teacher appointment.
