Latest Updated 27/09/2023: Patna High Court rejected all the petitions challenging the third graduate level preliminary examination. Also, the court imposed a fine of Rs 50 thousand on the petitioner, a woman, for filing the case unnecessarily. The court ordered to deposit the fine amount with Bihar State Legal Service Authority. After this order, the way was cleared for publishing the results of the main examination.

On the petitions of Priya and others, Chief Justice K. A division bench of Justice Vinod Chandran and Justice Partha Sarathi gave its 26-page order on Tuesday. The court had recently completed the hearing and reserved its decision. Bihar State Staff Selection Commission's advocate Satyam Shivam Sundaram said that on December 6 last year, an advertisement for reinstatement of 2187 posts for six different services was published. Its preliminary examination was held on 23 and 24 December last year. Whereas the main examination was taken on 23 July.

The question paper of the first shift of preliminary examination was leaked. Told that after getting information about the nomination being leaked on social media, the Commission lodged an FIR in EOU. Some people were arrested. Later the Commission canceled the first shift examination on 23 December. BSAC's advocate said that on December 24, in the third phase, a student uploaded the question paper on social media at 12.14 pm, while the examination ended at 12.15 pm. The question paper was leaked just a minute before the end of the exam.
