Latest Updated 22/09/2023: All examinations in Jharkhand will now be on the same pattern. Students of general schools as well as Madhyamik and Madarsa will take the exam on OMR sheets. For this, there will be changes in the examination pattern of Madrasa and Madhyamik. This decision was taken in the board meeting of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Thursday.

In the meeting chaired by JAC President Dr. Anil Kumar Mahato, it was clarified that in government schools, the annual examinations of classes 8th, 9th and 11th are conducted on OMR sheets, while in classes 10th and 12th, there are OMR sheets and written examinations. In such a situation, the equivalent examinations of Madrasa and Madhyama will also be held on the same lines. With this, Madrasa and Madhyamik students will be able to prepare for competitive exams like the students of CBSE-ICSE board including JAC.

For Madhyamik, registration will have to be done in 9th class. Apart from this, in Madhyamik, registration will have to be done in 9th class on the lines of class 9th in government schools. Till now, registration and application forms were filled in class 10th. Now you will be able to appear for Madhyamik examination only after studying for two years in school. At the same time, to pass subject wise in Madhyamik examination, the required marks have been increased from 30 percent to 33 percent. Jack Board has approved the removal of those vocational subjects from the examinations in which there are neither any students nor any teachers. Also, approval of 10 high schools and two inter colleges was approved. Jack Board members including Vice President Vinod Kumar Singh, Secretary SD Tigga were present in the meeting.


No need to wait a year for improvement exam

Students who pass matriculation and intermediate examinations will no longer have to wait for one year for result improvement. Students will be able to appear for improvement examination along with supplementary and compartment examinations to be held in the same year in which they pass the examination. At present there is a provision that if those who want to improve their result after passing the examination in 2023, then they will have to appear in the Matric-Inter examination of 2024.


No re-registration, registration will be done again

For matriculation, registration is done in 9th class and for 12th class, registration is done in 11th class. It is valid for three years. If you have been in the same class for three years and appear for the exam in the fourth year, there was a provision for re-registration. There used to be no change in the subject, but now instead of re-registration, re-registration will have to be done after three years. You can also change the subject in this.


IT cell will be formed in JAC


IT cell will be formed in JACK. At present, IT related work is carried out by external sources in JACK. Approval for formation of IT cell has been received from the state government and the Finance Department has also given its consent for this. Advertisement will be issued for the formation of IT Cell and candidates meeting the prescribed qualifications will be selected.


Now students from other districts will also be able to take exams


If Matriculation and Intermediate students have registered from any district or school, then they will be able to appear for the examination from other districts, schools and colleges also. Their registration number will be transferred to the concerned institute. This provision will be applicable when the parents or guardian of the concerned student has been transferred to another district. Besides, other provisions are also being decided for this.
