Jabalpur High Court canceled Coal Wage Agreement-11 latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 09/09/2023: Jabalpur High Court has rejected Coal Wage Agreement-11 in its decision. Also directed DPE to settle the matter within 60 days. 29 coal officials had filed a petition in Jabalpur High Court challenging the Coal Wage Agreement-11. The matter is related to coal workers being paid more than the officers.

Due to the decision of Jabalpur Court, there is doubt whether the coal workers will get increased salary or will be laid off. HMS leader cum JBCCI member Nathulal Pandey said that they will go in appeal in favor of the wage settlement. He indicated that he had also spoken to Coal India management on the matter. Coal India will also challenge the decision. A senior official said that Coal India is consulting the Law Department. Appeal will be made in double bench.
