Latest Updated 24/09/2023: A fine of Rs 1 lakh will be imposed on schools running in the state without recognition or even after de-recognition. If unrecognized schools are caught operating even after action, they will be fined afresh at the rate of Rs 10,000 per day. The government is going to run a special campaign against such fake schools on 10th October. During this period, along with disciplinary action, a financial penalty of Rs lakh will also be imposed against the identified unrecognized schools.

In this regard, on the instructions of Director General of School Education Vijay Kiran Anand, Basic Education Director Mahendra Dev has issued a circular in the names of Basic Education Officers of all the districts. BSA has been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation of the schools running without recognition in the blocks by October 10.
