Counselling in NEET-PG 2023 as long as seats are available latest news update

Latest Updated 23/09/2023: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given clarification on reducing the qualifying percentile for counseling in NEET PG 2023 to zero. The ministry says that the government's objective is that counseling should continue as long as seats are vacant for admission.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that zero does not mean that the person with zero number will get admission. The purpose behind reducing the qualifying percentile to zero is that PG seats do not remain vacant and there is no option of filling seats in PG colleges through the back door. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of the Central Government's Directorate of Health Services has said in a notice that the qualifying percentile for PG courses (Medical/Dental) for NEET PG counseling 2023 has been reduced by the ministry to zero in all categories. The window for registration and choice filling will be reopened for round-three of counseling for eligible candidates.
